Hi, When you connect the wirejumper between A-B and you switch the ignition at power ON ( not starting ! ) the 12 code MUST be displayed, code 12 shall always manifest because this mentions that the engine is NOT Running !! If you get only code 12 this means there are no errors in buffer. Xavier ;)

Possible solutions:

*) Remove the 3.1L and replace it by a 3L ... Lupo

*) Remove the V6 and replace it by a Flintstone system, so your fuel usage will become zero !!

If you have found the horn... ... please check out if the hornbody hasn't rusted out. I have had some probs with Bosch horns which completely rusted out at the age of 8 years and also didn't function properly anymore. It sounds like they where asthmatic

The adaptorplates looks indeed nice. I prefer installing an original radio, but if it has to be done with a new model, the plates are the nicest solutions. Better than most seen 'custom' solutions. :]

An Esprit = Base Bird + Formula Steering Wheel + Chrome trim moldings around the windows and wheels+ cloth seats instead of vinyl + electrical trunkrelease. The Esprit had normally a V6 231CUI engine ( imported cars could have a 301 or 350 V8 )
The dash is 'wood' like... .

Yep, the problem has been solved: the freeze plugs has been newed and the problem did stop. Where the coolant ran out is still the open point... ??

I drive over 2000 km yet and the level stays OK ! :]

@ Thrush: Seems you have a 100% identical read out as on mine. Also 3.1 '91er !! My Pontiac dealer means it can be seen as normal; idling with warm motor gives 280 when accelerate gives over full scale.

@ Vic: A much easier way to messure the currentflow is to remove a fuse out of the fusebox and to place your multimeter at these 2 pins, select DCA at 2A ( as your meter is selected on the pic ) if it reads 0, you can select a lower rate.
